{Kelly & Jamison}

You may remember Jamison from his first birthday shoot.  Poor little guy didn’t like the cake… cried actually!  Fast-forward 6 months and you have a happy, active little 18 month old!  In honor of Grandparent’s Day this Sunday, Kelly wanted to get some pictures taken of her and little Jamison to send to her parents back in West Virginia.

He found some great sticks!

Isn’t she just a beautiful momma?!

Look at those cheeks!

Thanks for coming over, Kelly.  We need to do play dates more often!!

{The Taplins}

What an evening!  Matt, Stacia & Will were in town from Boise, ID for Matt’s sister’s wedding and we were fortunate enough to get to hang out with them during their time here.  Matt & Andy, my husband, grew up together, so I’ve heard PLENTY of stories about Matt & Andy’s adventures!  It was great getting to know Matt and even better getting to know his wife, Stacia!!

Stacia is training to be a midwife.  You know, the home birth kind.  If you’ve been reading for awhile, you may have had a chance to check out the old blog and read Eli’s birth story & you may have read about our awesome Bradley Birth instructors, so you may know that I’m a big advocate for natural birth.  I’m sure you can imagine my excitement in getting to spend the evening with Stacia and talking birth, well, pretty much all evening! 😀  Stacia just returned from a month in the Philippines where she helped 25 women give birth safely to healthy little babes.  What a great thing to be a part of.

Then there’s Will.  He was the smileyest (pretty sure that’s not a word) little boy you’ve ever met!  He’s an adventurer just like his daddy.  We explored the woods and I think he would’ve stayed out there all night if we would’ve let him!  Will loves to jump, leap, be thrown, do flips, climb trees… you know, all that boy stuff 🙂  He warmed up to me pretty quickly and we had lots of fun!  Now on to the pictures!

Will is a very loved little boy…

Matt & Will were the definition of goofy!

He got some AIR!

I think this captures their family well!

Matt, Stacia & Will,  thanks for making time for us in your busy vacation schedule!!  We enjoyed your company and hopefully we will see you guys again soon!

{Brody}

Brody & Eli are best buds!  They were born just 2 weeks apart & have pretty much everything in common 🙂  Except hair… Brody has got a full head of luscious curls and they naturally make a mohawk on the top of his head!!!  When his momma and I get together we just gab and gab and typically don’t accomplish the task at hand… I think we did pretty good this time, don’t you, Michelle?

He sure loves his momma!

He loves pine cones too 😀

Aren’t they adorable?!

Thanks for hanging out, Michelle.  Can’t wait for round two this week!

{Mommy & Me}

Meet the second love of my life.  As a mother, I find myself behind the camera most of the time.  My husband looked at our refrigerator and saw only pictures of him and Eli and decided that needed to change, so he took me out, I set up the camera for him and he shot away.  We had such a good time playing, tickling, rolling in the grass and just having a wonderful evening!  I hope you enjoy the pictures as much as I enjoy this little boy.

And my favorite of the night…

Thanks for stopping by!

{The Atwoods}

I was fortunate enough to spend the evening with Little Abraham on his birthday!  He was perfect angel!  We started walking into the park and he immediately started smiling at my camera!  It was amazing!  Needless to say, he made my job easy.  Isn’t this just a gorgeous family?!

He claps.  It.is.a.dorable.

He found a great walking stick and carried it around for awhile.

He was on the MOVE!  Such a fast little walker… he definitely kept me on my toes! 🙂

It was great meeting you guys!  Abraham is such an adorable little guy.  Hope the rest of his birthday was fantastic 😀

{The Bradfords}

When Andy & I were trying to get pregnant for little Eli, I did lots of research.  We decided we wanted to do a natural birth, so  we set off to equip ourselves with all the information and training we needed in order to make that happen.  Enter Rob & Sharon Bradford.  They are Certified Bradley Instructors, and I got in contact with Sharon 6 months before we even got pregnant!  She gave me lots of encouraging words and when we found out we were pregnant, we immediately signed up for their class!  We spent one night a week with the Bradford family for 12 weeks.  We learned all about pregnancy, nutrition, labor and the delivery!  If you’re pregnant and looking for an amazing birth experience, I HIGHLY recommend contacting Rob & Sharon and signing up for their class!!  Anyway, back to their photo shoot… Sharon contacted me and wanted to do a family session so we got it on the calendar and here we are!

We met this morning at Crane Park to do some nature shots.  Jadyn needed a little coercion to give me a smile… TICKLING!

Look at those curls!  She’s such a doll & has the girlie personality to go along with it!

Taye & Jadyn hug on command… too cute!!

When Taye & his daddy (Rob) were posing for the picture, Rob asked him what his favorite food was… Taye’s answer?  “The ones without a lot of sugar?” HA!  What a priceless answer!

Aren’t they just an adorable family?!

We packed up and headed downtown for some shots in front of their church & around town.

Bradford family,  thanks for spending the morning with me!  It was wonderful to have another opportunity to see you!  Hope you enjoy your preview!

{Sisters}

These 3 beautiful girls came over to Kalamazoo today for a session.  Aren’t they dolls!?  And I’m lucky enough to be related to them! 😉  Maybe I’m partial… naaah!

Joshlynn is saving for her first camera… she wants to be a photographer!  I think she’ll do a great job!

Aren’t they so sweet?!

Felicity had all sorts of ideas for pictures.  She was quite the little poser!

We decided to get in the fountain at the end of the shoot to cool off 🙂

Thanks for coming over to Kalamazoo today, girls!  I had so much fun with you!  See you soon. 🙂

{My Little 9 Month Old}

Our little Eli is almost 9 months old already!  I can’t believe how the time has flown!  He is crawling ALL over the place, pulling himself up on EVERYTHING and even walking along the furniture.  I’m sure it’s only a matter of time before I’ll be chasing his toddling little self all over the place 🙂  Since he’s my inspiration for, well, just about everything, I figured It’d be a good idea to go out and do an actual session with him the other day.  This child definitely knows what a camera is & he was the perfect little model!

Thanks for looking! 🙂
