P52 || Week 9

My baby turned 6. He came into this world on his own schedule and nothing has changed since! 😀 He’s all about Star Wars and Legos and this birthday was nothing but! He was beside himself with excitement to host some friends for a party. Life is so bittersweet. It’s such a joy to watch his grow up but I do wish I could keep him little forever.

Happy birthday, Levi. We love you! xo

(I was proud of myself for just being in the moment on his actual birthday!)

P52 || Week 8

My sweet mother-in-law made a basket of science experiments complete with all the ingredients for Eli for Christmas. We finally had a chance to pull them out this week and have some fun. We made elephant toothpaste (lesson: the decomposition process of hydrogen peroxide) and water fireworks (lesson: differences in density).

Science experiments were followed by some nature exploration. It was so nice to be out in the sunshine!

We had some fun experimenting with the ice outside and seeing the beautiful patterns in nature.

P52 || Week 4

Snow days don’t really exist in our world, but when the snow just won’t stop and we’re bundled up inside our house, what’s better than some warm chocolate chip cookies?!

Levi’s chubby little fingers reaching for chocolate chips, Ella, making sure everyone is following the recipe, Eli, hat cocked, taller than ever taking over the oven duties and some oozy-gooey chocolate chip cookies. Yumm!

{four}

I can’t believe how much has changed since three.

I am constantly amazed by how much of a little person he is.  His ability to converse with us like an adult amazing and his vocabulary is growing like crazy.

We are daily laughing at the things that come out of his mouth.

I love his sense of humor, ability to laugh and joke and his all around silliness.

I love his thoughtful side. His nurturing spirit for Ella & Levi is so fun to watch. He takes his role as their protector quite seriously.

He is Ella’s best friend.  She wants to be just like him and will do just about anything he asks.

Levi is already captivated by him, always keeping a watchful eye to see what big brother is up to next.

He loves to swim, climb, ride his bike, jump in puddles, collect sticks… anything B.O.Y.

Lightning McQueen makes an appearance daily and so does Dusty the cropduster*

His laugh is contagious, but his pensiveness is intriguing. His facial expressions say it all.

He loves space and can name all the planets, explain gravity and still wants to be an astronaut.

If you ask him what his one job is, he’ll tell you. “To take care of the girls.”

He melts my heart with his forever hugs & forever kisses.

and yes, he insisted on pumping my gas for me. His daddy is training him to be quite the little gentleman.

Happy fourth birthday, my little love. I can’t wait to see what four brings.

Thanks for looking.

{Ella’s Birthday}

After posting about my baby girl’s birthday, I couldn’t help but add a post with all the details.  Breakfast with daddy, Silver Beach, Pizza at Gram & Gramps, Ice Cream with momma topped off with a Tea Party in the park a few days later with 3 of her little girlfriends.  This is one girlie girl.  I love when we can slow things down and just go Ella speed.

Disclaimer: This post is a little photo heavy… Don’t say I didn’t warn you! 😉

{My Ella Girl}

My sweet Ella girl. Two years have come and gone and I fall more and more in love with her every day.  She is my thoughtful, tenacious little snuggle bug.  My mini-me. My girlie girl. She teaches me patience and attentiveness. Flexibility, understanding and compromise.

She’s always anxious to get me a cup of “tea” to have a tea party. There isn’t much that her “pa-ce-ce-ce” and her “ba-dee” can’t fix.  She loves to snuggle almost as much as she loves her daddy.  She sets the table. She sings. Loves babies. Loves to swing. Loves to tease. Adores her big brother and wants to do everything E-I does. He can make her laugh like no other. She is a wonderful, caring big sister to her little brother, constantly exclaiming “It’s ok!”

Over the past year, she has gone from being rocked to sleep to giving me a kiss and saying “night, mommy.” From “help” to “I got it.” She is growing more and more independent every day. She knows what she wants and isn’t easily persuaded and I hope she keeps that strong-willed, passionate spirit. I am so thankful that I was chosen to be her mother.

Happy birthday to my beautiful Ella Bella Ballerina! Can’t wait to see what year three brings!
