Meet the Figel Five as Corinna (mom) has lovingly labeled them! What a wonderful, sweet, fantastic little group I had the pleasure of spending the evening with last night. Those are three SUPER sweet girls!! Corinna and I met through MOPS at Lake Center Bible Church in Portage. It’s a great ministry that gives moms a chance spend a few hours a month enjoying the company of other moms. If you’re a mom of a preschooler in the greater Kalamazoo area, you should definitely check it out!
Anyway, right after their youngest daughter Jozlin was born, Corinna was diagnosed with Postpartum Cardiomyopathy/Congestive Heart Failure. She has been battling this disease for the past 10 months. Without going into too much detail (and getting them wrong!), I encourage you to follow her journey here. She is going in for surgery next Thursday (November 17th) which will hopefully be the end of this long journey. If you think of it, leave her a note of encouragement and more importantly say a prayer for her safety and for quick healing from this procedure!
Corinna and family, I had such a great time with you all last night. It was so wonderful getting to know you all a little better and finding those fun it’s-a-small-world connections! We will be praying for all of you in the upcoming weeks!!
Thanks for looking!
WOW!! I always knew that ALL of my daughters were beautiful, but you really captured Corinna’s beauty!! She is SO beautiful!! Maybe it’s because her love for her family comes out in her eyes and her smile. (Big Guy’s not so bad either!!) They are such a wonderful family. We will be holding them all up for the Lord to bless on Thursday. People always say, “The Lord works in mysterious ways.” but, how many of us really believe that? Here is a pure example of those works in progress. Because of this illness the Figel Family has grown so much closer to the Lord, found a loving church family, new friends, and have had so, so, many blessings poured upon them. God is in control, AND……………. GOD IS GOOD…………………..ALL THE TIME!!
What a beautiful family! Their love for one another definitely shows through in these pictures. So proud to be able to say they are MY family. Corinna and Andy, we hold you close in prayer CONSTANTLY and will continue to. You have been an inspiration to so many. Love you all so much!
Thinking of you on your journey with hopes and prayers that you will do well. I love following along in the posts and pictures of the Figel Five a bunch special to me. Thank you for sharing your family with me, those contagious smiles of those girls make me smile. May you have many, many days filled with love and joy with Andrew and the girls.
